Produced seasonally, an important part of the identity of Patcharavipa is the series of ‘Compendiums’. Each compendium is a specially commissioned object designed using a variety of devices, materials and techniques. Together they clarify and frame the themes and collection of each season.

The Spring/Summer 2019 campaign is called ‘Twisted’. Photographed by Janneke van der Hagen, the imagery made use of various props, including rope, shells and stones, inspired by the forms found within the collection – and presented on a vivid range of backdrops. Stills from the shoot were bound into a large-format publication, with widely contrasting materials chosen – from holographic label paper to backcloth to pulpy construction paper. Produced by PUSH, London, the compendium measures 49 × 34 × 0.5cm, is thread-sewn stitched with navy twine, and sits offset inside a custom made case.
